Hello everyone! 

My name is Lauryn Rotaru and I am the creator of Ethereal Healing Arts. 

Here is my story:

As a child, I never really knew what I wanted to be when I grew older. I struggled to imagine a future with what options were placed before me. At one point though, around age 11, I thought:

“I could be a teacher!”

I didn’t know exactly what being a teacher meant, but I can still remember the sense of peace and ease that it brought me. However, that was not allowed for me, so I pushed down that dream until I almost forgot about it. 

As I grew, so did my love of pilates, yoga, and meditation. From the ages of 12-17 I scoured the internet for any free pilates or yoga videos I could find. I followed every move of the creators of Blogilates and Yoga with Adrienne, from their very first videos. When the “Calm” app came out, I was one of the first to try it out. Looking back, these are the things that kept me alive during high school, which I now call my first “dark night of the soul”.

Perhaps because I was in survival mode, even though I was doing all the movements and breathwork, nothing “clicked” in a spiritual way for me. For a while I took a break from it all thinking that it wasn’t for me anymore.

Luckily, when I reached University and gained some independence, I began to gain a deeper understanding of the Universe and my place in it. I went even deeper into my spiritual awakening and began to meet spiritual guides and teachers.

Fast forward to August 2023, when I went to a Surya Kriya training presented by Dan from the Isha Foundation. After the intitiation, Dan looked at me with a kind and loving expression and said:

“You will be a teacher.”

In that moment, my dream of becoming a teacher came rushing back to me: 11 year old little Lauryn was so proud. She knew I could be a teacher all along!

Though I still don’t know what exactly being a teacher means, I do know that by sharing my experiences in the best ways I know how, I am taking a big step towards embodying one.
